Tianhua Institute Localizes Large-capacity Flocculent PC Drying Successfully

A tri-stage continuous circulation drying plant was put into operation at Cangzhou Dahua New Materials Company recently. Featuring a secondary fluidized bed and roof tower, this plant was designed by Tianhua Institute to produce 100,000 tons flocculent polycarbonate (PC) annually, localizing the large-scale PC drying process in China. This has demonstrated Tianhua Institute’s efforts in making innovations and succeeding in what it has excelled.

Tianhua Institute boasts China National Engineering Research Center for Drying Technology and Equipment. In addition, the Drying Equipment Research Institute under Tianhua Institute has long been committed to the research of drying technologies and equipment, with the capability of process design, equipment development, design, manufacturing, installation and other complete services. Tianhua Institute’s main drying equipment includes large steam-tube rotary dryer, paddle dryer, disc dryers, fluidized bed dryer, roof drying tower, rotary flash dryer and airflow tube dryer, with polypropylene, PTA, CTA, PC, sludge, catalyst, coal powder and other media used. Tianhua Institute has rich engineering and design experiences and immense manufacturing strength in the development and application of new drying processes and equipment.

Tianhua Institute has forged a close partnership with domestic famous polycarbonate (PC) manufacturers, accumulating a range of technologies in this regard. In this project, Tianhua Institute is in charge of designing the continuous circulation drying, key equipment and control system. The continuous circulation drying is aimed to reduce the energy consumption and equipment investment of system. The key process equipment manufactured by Tianhua Institute, such as fluidized bed and roof tower, can save a lot of equipment investment and speed up the development of the project while enhancing the quality and reliability of equipment for customers.

The project has been implemented successfully, making a new breakthrough in large flocculent PC drying system. Tianhua Institute has also gained a wealth of valuable experiences for the design of other large-scale new material drying processes and equipment in the future.
